The audio sounded a bit...weird. Kind of "swirly", like the sound kept phasing.....

Yeah we had all sorts of issues with the audio quality.

Switching from FIFA to Pro Evo, eh? I nearly did the same a few months ago. I even bought Pro Evo but then sold it before playing it. If we get to the point where future Pro Evo games score equal or higher scores to FIFA, I'll probably switch back.
