Wow Entertainment Inc. began in 1992 as Sega's AM1, and became Wow on April 21, 2000. Director Rikiya Nakagawa keeps all the game, API, and network development in check while overseeing a group of 107 hard-working individuals.

The name "Wow Entertainment" was chosen because the company's goal is to consistently surprise people with the games we produce, and judging by our software lineup, we've lived up to our name.

AM1 really hit their stride in 1997, when they released The House of the Dead on the unsuspecting populace. The game's intense gameplay and gruesome themes captivated arcade gamers worldwide. AM1 carried this momentum into 1998, with The House of the Dead, Dynamite Cop 2, and the unique Get Bass (Sega Bass Fishing).
