Summary

Developed by Yuke's and published by THQ, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 continues the hugely popular series of intense fighting games with the World Wrestling Entertainment franchise license.

The action is ramped up with a revamped physics engine that enables much richer action, including more accurately deformable equipment. By this we mean that when a table or chair are brought into the fray they will be destroyed in a more realistic manner. This is amied at ensuring that fights play out as they would live or during the high-octane TV transmissions.

And yes, bringing back the fury of the very first WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw, once again you can actually thrown furniture at the opposing fighters!

Hell in a Cell has been expanded with bigger cells walls and more things to use as weapons including steel steps. Fighters can also be literally thrown out of the cell itself.

This time out, players can also wander about freely in the backstage areas during the game's story mode.

Games modes – aside from Story Mode – include a new "WWE Universe" which uses cutscenes and more to expand on the traditional career mode. Road to WrestleMania has been given additional pep with the backstage roaming and mini-quests being enlivened with more interaction with the real world WWE legends.

You can even play as fighters such as Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Christian, and Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth.

Add to this the fact that Create A Superstar mode has been made easier to get into with pre-loaded attribute points, and Create A Finisher has even finer tuning for more precision.

Match Creator mode has been added, enabling you to pit fighters against each other in new match systems.
