Established in 1994, Torus Games is a well respected software developer of interactive entertainment games.
A project in it's first year for US-based publisher Acclaim Entertainment has led to a succession of international games for companies that include GT Interactive, SCi, THQ, Activision, Midway, Ubi-Soft and NewKidCo.
In 1995 Torus Games produced it's first PC game, which was based on the popular Touring Car circuit. This has now been made into a series, which Torus developed using leading race tracks around Australia. One of the company's most prestigious PC projects is Carmageddon: Deathrace 2000, which has been developed with Torus Games' exclusive 3D graphics engine.
Continued success has seen Torus grow to become one of the largest game developers in Australia, with approximately 40 employees comprising programmers, artists, network and QA support,
Torus Games's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1994 title, "Stargate" (Game Boy).
The company has been involved titles released on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, 3DS/2DS, Wii U, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, DS/DSi, PS2, PSP, GBA, N-Gage, Game Boy Color, Game Boy and Game Gear. Of these, "Ashen" (N-Gage), "Curious George" (GBA) and "Turbo: Super Stunt Squad" (DS/DSi) have been best selling titles.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2018 release "PAW Patrol: On a Roll" (Switch).
