VR-1 Entertainment, a division of Circadence Corp., is based in Boulder, Co. with development facilities in Canada, Japan and Russia. The company was founded in 1993 as the premier developer of massive multi-user online entertainment technologies and content applications such as its sophisticated VR-1 Conductor technology. VR-1 is regarded as a pioneer in massively multiplayer content with titles such as Microsoft's Fighter Ace. In early 1999, VR-1 acquired two console game developers: POW Games (Tokyo) and Devil's Thumb Entertainment (Boulder), and are now uniquely positioned to capitalize on the convergence of console and online gaming on platforms like the Xbox.
