Summary

Decathalon is an early athlete-sim similaire to games like athens 2005 but 2D. There's a wide range of events to get stuck into such as 100m/400m/1500m dash, Long jump, Shotput, High jump, 110m Hurdles, Discus throw, Pole vault and last but not least Javelin throw. All these avents are shown in a relatively high frame rate, showing you the athletes legs circulating in a perfect circle. Quite amazing really.

In all these events there is one purpose; that is to beat your friends. Either go two player and race for victory or test out your thumbs to get the longest jump or the farthest throw. The game is given a more realistic running-type-feel due to the controls of flick left to right on the control stick to run. This simple idea draws you into the game more and gets your fingers in pain.
