Summary

Moto Racer for the PC is an arcade style motorbike racing game. The emphasis of this game is on fun and it shows. There are four different tracks to master and depending on your settings, up to 23 computer-controlled opponents. One of the coolest features of Moto Racer is the link-up option that allows you to race against a friend over a network. Alternatively, taking turns to set the fastest lap record is hours of addictive gameplay. Especially when you’ve got the course down perfect and the difference in times is down to hundredths of seconds.

Depending on your style of driving it pays to select a bike with characteristics that suit you. Bikes with quick acceleration are much better on the tracks with an abundance of twisty corners. There is a compromise between the attributes of the bikes, for example more grip results in a decrease in top speed.

The best gameplay feature of Moto Racer has to be the turbo / stunt button. This allows an increase in speed whenever you feel like it. Although, the price you have to pay is stability, any small collision will send you flying over the handlebars. Knowing when and where to use this function makes all the difference between winning and losing. On the motocross level it’s possible to fly high in the air performing stunts while leaping over the competition.
