There was a time, in the early to mid 1990s, when pinball games were all the rage. This time was inspired and instigated by Digital Illusions awesome Pinball Fantasies on the Amiga.
Shortly after this time, bandwagon jumpers were still trying to get a piece of the action, and so it was with Team17's Pinball Addiction. Despite the awesome talents involved in its production, and the accurate ball physics, Pinball Addiction is a rather lacklustre pinball game. The game did not scroll, so the tables were either very narrow, or viewed from a very shallow angle, as if a four foot tall person was playing a real pinball table. The game has only two pintables, one based around Team17's smash hit Worms, and one based around their fun and playable flop World Rally Fever.
The PlayStation version was not released till some two years after the PC version, cynically renamed Worms Pinball to cash in on the success of the PlayStation release of Worms Armageddon.
