Based on actual reported events, US Army Green Berets is the sequel to Spec Ops from Take 2 Software. As with the original you will take command of an elite US Army Special Operations group who combat anti-American activities across the world. So what’s new? Take 2 have upped the AI of both your enemies and your fellow soldiers, included a multitude of new (and real) weapons and added dynamics to both the music and lighting. Most importantly the game now comes on-line multiplayer ready.
Included in the list of nations the American Army see fit to drop troops in, are Thailand, Pakistan, Korea and Germany. The covert tasks are mainly set at night with various objectives to complete. There is a strong element of stealth required throughout the game which you must tailor to suite the role of your chosen troop. You take up the role of one member of the team, ie sniper, infantry, grenadier etc, and must play your part effectively in order to complete the mission. This character choice expands the game-play substantially allowing the player to complete all of the missions under a variety of assumed roles.
