Summary
The real-time strategy genre was never the same once the strategy-intensive gameplay of Dark Reign 2 hit the scene. With a whole new 3D engine and a host of innovative features including an immersive 'on-the-battlefield' camera perspective, more specialised roles for units, truer scale objects, realistic physics and true line-of-sight, Dark Reign 2 gives gamers the next generation in Real-Time Strategy gaming.
In Dark Reign 2, a brutal clash between two sworn enemies, the wealthy Jovian Detention Authority (JDA) and the Tribes, a ragtag group of revolutionaries, is underway. Instigated by the JDA's kidnapping of the Tribes’ most influential leader, an army of renegades has been amassed to lay siege to the enemy’s largest metropolis. With a battalion of air, sea and land units including Rumblers, Aquanaughts and Stingers, players can wage war from either side battling through more than 25 challenging day and night missions that begin on Earth and unfold throughout the solar system.
