Summary

Many People believe Super Mario Bros. DX for the Gameboy color is one of the best games of all time.

It is an excellent conversion of the NES classic of 1985. If that wasn’t enough, Nintendo have improved the gameplay with new modes and features. Back then, Super Mario Bros was the killer application that helped put the NES into one in three American homes. In the 8 and 16-bit days, the two-dimensional side on platform game was one of the most popular genres. This game was the template that others tried to live up to. Sega enjoyed great success with Sonic the Hedgehog and both Characters became company mascots, respectively. In Mario the story is classic 'rescue the princess and become a hero'. Let’s face it, who isn’t going to help a pretty girl in distress?

Mario DX is challenging without becoming frustrating, you always feel in control. Deep down you know it’s your fault if you die and it’s time to make a mental note for next time.

Mario DX changes the approach to the completion of the game. As with Super Mario World on the SNES, you are no longer required to complete the game on a single credit. You have the option to save, very useful for score ranking. Mario DX also has a two player link-up option that works very well. There are several mini-games to keep you occupied, including fortune telling.

This game has so much replayability it's unbelievable. Along with Zelda DX, this is a must have. Enjoy!
