Summary

Batman was starting to knock along a bit so he has employed Terry McGinnis, a high school senior from Gotham City to carry on the crusade. Not surprisingly it’s the Joker who plays the villain of the piece, breaking into Gotham’s aerospace laboratory in order to steal new technologies. Terry is equipped with a revolutionary new Bat-Suit which affords him “Ninja-Skills”. The game is based on the animated TV series and upcoming film release ‘Batman of the Future’. The atmosphere of the game has tried to capture that of the series; dark and bizarre with a level of suspense.

The game plays as a side-scrolling beat-em-up with the usual henchmen, robots, general thugs and bosses to contend with. You have punch, kick and jump, all at your disposal, with various items to pick up on the way. The coders have attempted to incorporate a stealth element to the game-play which sees the young Batman listening in to henchmen from behind the door. Throughout the game Terry is in communication with Bruce Wayne via the comms gadget in his suit.

It’s worth bearing in mind that the target age-group for this title is four to eight year olds but fans of the series should find something here too.
