Summary

The widely acclaimed Sims game of 2000 proved so successful that EA took it upon itself to produce an expansion pack that allowed players to let their imaginations run wild. The downside was that the owners of the expansion pack had to also own the original. Ideally, there would be a bundle of the two games to complete the series. Well, look no further, as the Collectors Edition is now available, comprising of the two games in one small package. It looks like EA read our minds.

In the original Sims game, players were able to build and create a variety of new homes and careers for the population of this artificial world. As ever, the Sims are the main focus point of the game. Here, you can tamper with the Sims’ behaviour and meddle in their relationships with other people. With the addition of the expansion pack, players can now put their new found friends into extreme situations and observe as a God to see how the scenario is tackled. Should you be lacking in safety, some serious physical consequences may be encountered on your monitor. However, in today’s society, nudity may be the buying point for some of you, and there’s plenty here, although it has been censored.

The visuals of the game are more extensive than ever, with a vast library of house designs and animations, amongst other things.

While the original game was a recognised feat within the industry, the two games together make the Sims as complete as it can be.
