Summary
Long before Microsoft released a title of the same name, Team17 were working on a first person shooter/puzzler that would have been ground breaking. For a start it was to feature a female lead character, Kay Brogan.
An exciting and action-packed intro movie was made that would have ensured the game got a BBFC 18 certificate.
Despite several superb level meshes being completed the game was canned due to the failure of the 3D engine to be developed in time.
In the aftermath of Tomb Raider some Team17 staff close to SPOnG begged the development team to convert the game into a Tomb Raider style game, but Team17 were determined to gain a reputation of original games, and decided not to follow this derivative route.
