Summary

FreQuency is musical sensory overload! It's about musical interaction and creation, visual excitement and intense competition. The game casts you as a DJ, soaring through cyberspace, creating music note by note as you go. From one track to the next, jam with pulsating rhythms and mix your own ideas into samples of leading tracks from major stars of the techno, house, drum and bass, hip hop, trance and rock music worlds. Frequency is where Paul Oakenfold meets Lo Fidelity All Stars, by way of Roni Size. There are many more top tracks from Orbital, No Doubt, Jungle Brothers, Meat Beat Manifesto, Funkstar De Luxe, Dub Pistols, Fear Factory and DJ Qbert. Having the chance to remix tracks from such an eclectic selection of artists is a gaming first.

You'll start the game on the FreQuency Activator which you progress along throughout the game in time to the rhythm, activating notes as you progress. Hitting the button at just the right time is essential to your survival. By hitting a sequence of notes you'll activate a featured music track and charge the Energy Meter, keeping the game track 'live' for you to progress through, to the completion of each song. The longer you remain in the song by actively progressing more complex tracks, the higher you score, and you'll win more points by activating more complex patterns.

In Game Mode, use your musical acumen to harness drum beats, bass lines, guitar riffs, synth chords, F/X and vocal tracks to reproduce the featured song. As the tempo increases, so does the pressure, as you move from one complex music track to the next, bringing your music to life.

Imagine having your own studio and sampling top line artists to create your own bootleg interpretation of a major new release. FreQuency gives you just that opportunity. Remix Mode gives you the chance to remix samples from the featured tracks and to take your new creations and plug them into Game Mode competition and reactivate your own personal style. You can even organise your tracks in the Frequency Jukebox and replay to friends and FreQ out the party!

FreQuency comes complete with 25 levels of addictive game play and multi-player mode which allows 3-4 players split screen interaction.

A new way to play with music, FreQuency is thrilling, easy to use and compelling in a way that will beguile and entrance you.
