Summary

The victory over the evil Sorceress a thing of the past, Spyro and his friends, Hunter and Sparx, are all looking forward to a hard-earned, uninterrupted holiday at Dragon Shores. Some hope! Meanwhile, a lowly Rhynoc spell librarian sees his chance for that career change he's always wanted. Discovering a transforming spell in the Sorceress' magic library, he quickly recites it, turning his slight frame into a huge mass of brawn and brains. Unfortunately - and hilariously for the gamer - the book was upside-down as he read the spell. Grendoc now has two heads, and what's more, two blinding headaches!

In typical supernatural style, the only known cure calls for the wings of 100 fairies. He captures Spyro's close pal Zoe, and starts to freeze fairies throughout the Fairylands, sending his Rhynoc associates to collect the frozen fairies. With the last bit of sparkle she can muster, Zoe sends a magic balloon to Spyro for help. So much for the peaceful holiday plans!

And so, along with Hunter and Sparx, Spyro sets out across 30 levels on a whole new adventure to save Zoe and the Fairies, visiting new places such as the Lava Prairie, Hummingbird Village, Honey Marsh, Roman Holiday, Star Park and the Space Age Speedway. The GBA's graphical limitations hardly matter once you get into the adventure. Despite the unpopular-for-some isometric point of view, the colours are vibrant, and hey, it's Spyro the Dragon! He glides, he busts things open, and he breathes fire - you love him as much as we do.
