Summary

Midas Interactive is well known for its budget re-releases of older but still popular games. The next batch from Midas on PC comes in the form of a series of double packs, one of which is Pro Pinball Timeshock and Slam Tilt Resurrection.

Pro Pinball Timeshock is part of a Pinball trilogy that has been immensely popular. Sure, it’s like any other pinball game for computers and consoles, but Timeshock performs in such a way that it gives players an astonishingly realistic pinball experience. There are four tables to choose from, all of which are uniquely themed and pose their own challenges. Both first-person and top-down scrolling views are available to the player, making this an easily accessible game for any pinball fan, and even the casual game player.

Slam Tilt Resurrection also focuses on the simulation experience, and while it comprises of just two different tables, the designs are more complex than anything ever seen in PC pinball. The game features lovely 3D graphics, but visuals are forgotten once players get into the game proper. The ball physics are beautifully accurate, giving the player the feeling there really is a solid steel ball running around inside your monitor. Spooky.

This Midas compilation is a classic combination of two of the best pinball games ever to grace the PC. Enough said.
