Summary

Cue Club and Millennium Games is just one of a dozen twin-pack budget re-releases from Midas Interactive: still got a stocking to fill? Here's an idea.

Get your cue, focus your mind and get ready for Cue Club for the PC. The ultimate snooker and pool experience is available for your PC. Cue Club has been around a while, and was one of the first games to really do PC Pool justice. It’s simple to get into but nearly impossible to master. Fun and seriousness combined, with plenty of variety and fantastic gameplay.

As with most athletics titles, Millennium Games revolves around Track and Field events. There are 19 different events for you to choose from, including 4x4 relays and a long distance 5000m race. Control methods are, in essence, very much the same on PC as they are on console, whereby you have two alternate power buttons and an action button. Since you won’t get any fantastic records using keyboard techniques, the mouse comes highly recommended.

There are a number of playing modes to compete in, including a tutorial that will help you get to grips with the controls of individual events. You can compete in pick-up-and-play challenges, or you can put yourself through a harsh decathlon. Your button-bashing endurance capabilities should influence the mode of play you take part in.

So, we have one chilled out game involving balls on a table, and another involving 'digit dynamics'. It’s a bargain package offering two completely different styles of play.
