Summary

In a Driver meets Grand Theft Auto racer of illegal proportions, Super Runabout 3 has its players dipping their toes in the pool of crime. You're a delivery guy, but not of the pizza variety. You pick up packages, you don't ask where they came from and you don't know what's in them. It's Johnny Mnemonic for your average commuter, really.

As you pick up your package and hop into your runabout, you have only one objective: to get from A to B in the quickest time, using any means. You're not here to play the sensible taxi driver in downtown New York. Roads aren't the only means of commuting; there are pavements and strategically placed ramps at your disposal. Don't worry about pedestrians, they're not your problem.

Then there are the cops. As ever, these law-enforcing madmen are on a mission to bring your sneaky delivery service to a grinding halt. You're already on the wrong side of the law, so taking out a few fire engines, buses and ambulances to escape isn't going to make much difference, is it? Besides, you can have a blast racing mean machines such as tanks, F1 cars and monster trucks. If you have any virtual sense of morality, walk away from this one now.

But it is just a game after all. You have thirty missions to complete, a selection of vehicles to use, and there are dozens of unlockable bonuses along the way. Runabout 3 looks nice, it's fun to play, and it lets you do all the things you're not allowed to in real life.
