Summary

Forget Sim City - welcome to Sin City. This latest sim/theme/tycoon type game from Konami focuses on the sleazier side of things, giving you the job of establishing and managing a casino in the seedy and glitzy 1970's.

The job at hand is fairly straightforward to begin with: make your casino attractive and make your competition less attractive. You begin with a restricted budget, so you might be better off starting with just a couple of slot machines. Then employ some staff, open the doors, and wait for the buzz to spread on the street.

Visitor profiles vary from wealthy businessmen and professional gamblers to trailer trash and holiday flutterers. All have tastes to suit their budget and style. Teenagers seek noisy arcade machines, and high rollers want big stakes and big returns. They all have one thing in common: cash to spend. There is one simple rule. The longer they play, the more they pay. There are over 120 different characters in the game, ranging from waiters, Elvis impersonators, five-star hosts, to singers.

As you grow to own hotels and casinos, you'll want to set the amount of floor space given to rooms, bar and restaurant areas, roulette, card tables, slot machines, entertainment lounges, and to also set the level of payouts, profits and cream-offs on the tables and machines. Take too much, and people won't come. Be too generous, and your place will be crammed with cheap-shot gamblers. As with all sim games like this, it's all about careful monitoring and educated judgement.

If you're into games like this, then Casino Inc is not likely to disappoint. There's loads to it, providing plenty of hours of gameplay, and it's also a great deal of fun.
