Summary

Warcraft III was undoubtedly one of 2002's most hotly anticipated titles for PC. It promised an epic real-time RPG and delivered exactly that. It didn't disappoint and, quite rightly, went on to sell millions. One year on and the inevitable expansion pack is ready, complete with all manner of new additions and quests.

It has been nearly fifteen years since the war between the orcs and humans ended. An uneasy peace settled over the land while, for years, the drums of war were silent. Yet the kingdoms of men grew complacent in their victory, and slowly, the defeated orcish clans regrouped under the banner of a new visionary leader.

Now a darker shadow has fallen over the world, threatening to extinguish all life - all hope. The drums of war play upon the winds once again - rising urgently towards the inevitable hour when the skies will rain fire and the world will tremble before the coming of the Burning Legion.

The Frozen Throne builds upon these events and adds a whole plethora of extras. There is now one new hero for each race, new units, abilities, spells, shops and an advanced world editor that allows players to create custom campaigns, complete with cut-scenes and voice-overs.

More extensive additions include three new title sets, which include new areas, new foes, and a plentiful supply of brand new multi-players maps that play host to new game modes and feature clan and tournament support.

So there you go - more of the same, only bigger and better. Highly recommended.
