Summary

D.W. Bradley is revered by many RPG gamers as a godfather of the genre, having worked on a number of PC RPG titles like some of the Wizardry games (numbers 5, 6 and 7), Might and Magic and Wizards and Warriors. Now he brings you his own all-new action RPG, the equally generically titled Dungeon Lords.

A fusion of fighting and traditional role playing games, Dungeon differs from most action RPGs by using the close up third person view favoured in MMORPGs. But the almost FPS style of gameplay and attack makes it different even from them. The game can be played solo, or a group of players can experience the plot together over LAN or Internet.

Following the murder of good wizard Galdryn of the Meadows, his staunch ally Lord Davenmor is left to defend his kingdom alone against the ferocious onslaught of the fiendish Lord Barrowgrim and his army of marauders. Desperate to save his people, Davenmor promises the hand of his daughter in marriage in exchange for a truce. But his daughter loves another, and doesn't hang around when she hears his plan. Smelling a rat, Barrowgrim rallies his forces once more for some extended murder and pillage, and will stop at nothing to destroy the once mighty kingdom.

Create and customise your character from a range of professions and races, and undertake quests, honing your special skills and collecting items, spells and weapons as you go. The main quest story alone takes 30 hours, even longer if you are playing co-operatively, plus there are enormous amounts of characters and items to interact with in the game world. Journey through castles, forests and dungeon lairs as you try to get to the bottom of the evolving storyline. Choose whether you will be a human, elf, dwarf, thrall, zaur, urgoth or wylvan, and begin the adventure.
