Summary

Forces of Corruption (FoC) is an expansion pack to the Star Wars real-time strategy Empire at War. Whereas the original title - set in the years prior to Episode IV - planted you in the shoes of either the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire, FoC grants you the freedom to experience the Galactic Civil War from the point of view of the underworld.

With the Rebel Alliance having just blown the Death Star and gone home, you play as aspiring Underworld figure Tyber Zann, former associate and now arch-rival to Jabba the Hutt. As the game's title suggests, spreading corruption throughout a galaxy in turmoil is central theme. To help you in this task is the new 'corruption' strategic gameplay mechanic. Through those 'bad guy' staples - intimidation, piracy, kidnapping, racketeering, bribery, corrupt militia, slavery and black market trading - you can influence and spy on other factions, slow their production and steal their funds.

You'll have to take command of and confront new fighting units for all factions, including Imperial TIE interceptors, Rebel B-wings and Darth Vader's Executor Super Star Destroyer. Anyone that dares to stand in your way is ripe for a beating, including Underworld rivals such as Jabba the Hutt and rebel heroes including the legendary Yoda and golden boy Luke Skywalker.

Further to the extended range of fighting units, gameplay features and factions, FoC introduces even larger maps and map enhancements that affect your unit's progress as they traverse the terrain. Water, lava, forestation and thick shrubbery will all hinder your infantry, while higher ground will provide the bonus of a longer visual and weapons range.

With all this tyrannical fun, it may be easy to forget your ultimate goal; to capture the galaxy's most terrible weapon, the Empire's devastatingly powerful Super Star Destroyer, the Eclipse.
