Summary

The indefatigable subterranean hero Dig Dug returns in Dig Dug Digging Strike as a band of horrible monsters have invaded his home island. Using the top screen of the DS, players must navigate a series of islands, while avoiding enemies and seeking out tunnels to go below the surface. Once under the ground, the action heads to the bottom screen where you help Dig Dug activate a series of faultlines to bust the islands apart, thus sending the baddies to the bottom of the sea.

As Dig Dug progresses through the game's 80+ levels, Dig Dug discovers a host of powerful new weapons and useful items that can make short work of his foes and unlock extra content such as new areas and abilities. Dig Dug can also take part in minigame parodies of classic Namco titles like Horivalou and Hori-X that will help sink the islands and defeat his enemies for good. Players can enjoy the game's underground action with a friend thanks to the wireless multiplayer facility. There's also an Item Collection Challenge that can help Dig Dug navigate difficult levels.
