Summary

December 7, 1941 was the date Japanese forces attacked the US fleet at Pearl Harbor. This attack brought America firmly into World War II and changed history forever. Gamers assume the role of an American pilot who must help fight against the Japanese for control of the Pacific. Your skills as a pilot will be tested to the absolute limit against an Imperial Japanese Army that boasts countless fighter planes, battleships and tanks. You are the Allied Nations' only chance of defeating the Japanese and recapturing the Pacific. So don't worry too much, the entire future of the free world only rests on your shoulders!

Unlike many combat flight simulators that have a tendency to over-complicate everything, WWII: Battle Over the Pacific is the exact opposite, allowing gamers to jump straight into the cockpit and reach for the skies. This point is further illustrated by the game's intuitive arcade-style control system that enables instant dog-fighting action. In WWII: Battle Over the Pacific, it is possible to fly over mountains, deserts and islands in either fighter planes or bombers. When you need to repair, reload, change or refuel your aircraft, this can only be done on an Allied aircraft carrier. Numerous enemies including battleships, kamikazes, enemy installations and much more add to the overall realism of the game.

With dozens of missions to get through, there should be enough to keep even the most experienced combat flight simulator fan amused.
