Summary

Elebits, one of the most innovative franchises to grace the Wii at launch, is back! It's back with a difference, too. The series has made the transition from the small screen to the smaller screen, jumping on to Nintendo's DS handheld.

The Adventures of Kai and Zero picks up where the first game left off, with Kai having decided to make the Omega Elebit he found a pet of sorts. Early doors, however, Zero (the Elebit in question) charges up a bus invented by Kai's dad that whisks them off to a parallel world. Kai and Zero need to get back, but to do so they need to gather specific items - including Omega elebits - to charge up the bus. In the meantime, they jump through scores of different worlds gathering what they need.

The gameplay consists predominantly of gathering up the Elebits you need. By shaking trees or lifting rocks, you'll scatter them, and you'll need to do some swift work with your stylus to tap them and gather them up. Once you've got them, you'll need to make use of their individual supernatural abilities to solve puzzles and get yourself out of bother. You'll also need to make use of those abilities - such as freezing flowing water, turning darkness into light and levitating objects - to beat seven bosses.

For those looking to extend the game, there's also the option to take it online and battle up to four friends in an Elebit-capturing challenge.
