Summary

Codemasters really, really wants you to be evil. Not happy with bringing Overlord and Overlord 2 to the more high-powered games machines out there, the publisher has brought Overlord: Dark Legend and Overlord: Minions to Nintendo's supposedly family friendly consoles!

Set in a time before the first game, Overlord: Dark Legend tells the story of a new, younger Overlord. He's got a bit of a Cinderella situation on his hands – while his father's away, his unpleasant siblings are plotting to take over the kingdom. The answer, clearly, is to be more evil. Written by Rhianna Pratchett, the game takes a tongue-firmly-in-cheek look at the fantasy genre, with appearances from the likes of Lil' Red Riding Hood, an apparently pleasant girl with a nasty lupine streak...

As with other Overlord games, you command your minions to get up to all manner of despicable deed, be it pillaging, destroying or sending your little guys on a kamikaze mission. This time, of course, you're using the Wii Remote to do it. Swishing it will send Minions into battle, pointing it can send fireballs and magic at your foes. You'll even be able to single out a minion, strangle him with the Remote then send him on his way to explode amidst your enemies! The Wii Remote, once such a wholesome symbol of family fun, is now an extension of your despotic will!
