Summary

We'll be honest – we're bored of many of Disney's attempts to appeal to the tween crowd with its Miley Cyrus psuedo-dramas and Jonas Brothers' purity rings of hope. Give us some classic animated films, the kind that Walt Disney would be proud of. The Princess and the Frog is the first 2D animation in years, and it marks a return to form for the company. Who can argue with 1920s New Orleans jazz-infused remixes of old fairy tales, after all?

Just as well that the game is here to help complement and celebrate the occasion. A mini-game extravaganza for one to four players, you can choose from Tiana, Ray and a range of other familiar faces from the film and play to win! 30 activities are available to jump into, including rhythm music games, cooking some funky food and changing wardrobe as fast as you can.

As you play, you collect Mardi Gras beads which can be used to unlock new dresses, fabrics, ingredients and recipes that will extend your gameplay further. Although you can invite up to three friends to the party, there's a simple drop-in and drop-out system so that those who don't want to play any more can take a breather or pass the controller on.

And with five different New Orleans hub locations to explore with your mates, you can't get a more immersive experience to drop you into one of the year's most promising family animations.
