Summary

Rarely do you see a point and click adventure these days, much less have it so beautifully drawn and animated. The Whispered World takes inspiration from traditional animations such as Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away to create a fairy-tale landscape that is truly fascinating to see.

You control a clown called Sadwick, who lives in an eerie fantasy world. As his name suggests, he's not a very happy clown at all. One night his life is turned upside down when a blue creature appears in his dream and sends him on an important quest. How important? Well, let's just say the world as Sadwick knows is is doomed to destruction if he doesn't succeed. That's a lot of responsibility for a clown.

Which gives you a fairly good reason to get your skates on and help the depressed clown through various tricks and traps, as you explore hand painted backgrounds that mirror Sadwick's conflicting moods. In true point and click fashion, your aim is to guide Sadwick to the end of the game, solving puzzles along the way.

He's accompanied by Spot, a funny looking creature that resembles a caterpillar. Don't judge Spot though, as his ability to transform into many different forms mean you're going to need his help to complete the game.
