Summary

Tony Stark: futurist, arms dealer, super-hero, Avenger, big deal in Hollywood! While the first four labels on that list might make for an interesting game, it's the last one that brings Iron Man 2 into being. Yes, the old Shell Head's found his way into another summer blockbuster, which means another Iron Man game from SEGA has fought its way to shop shelves. While the first game might have followed the film fairly closely, however, the sequel is taking gamers into new territory that borrows from both the films and the comic series that inspired them.

Penned by Matt Fraction, the writer behind the Invincible Iron Man comic series, the latest game pits players against foes not seen in the film such as Crimson Dynamo. Tony has been trying to make up for his arms dealer past by gifting the world with new technologies. But there are always those who will take advantage of good will and his enemies have designs on the technology. Stark won't have it easy, with epic battles and destructive battles in his future. And yes – powerful, nasty foes, including the massive might of the towering Ultimo!

What we all want out of an Iron Man game, of course, is to get into the driving seat of the Iron Man armour. Players will get to take full advantage of it, including flight, repulsor rays and awesome strength. The handling and control scheme have been tweaked to create a more fluid experience as you battle through the more-destructible-than-ever landscape. Throw in new fighting styles such as kung-fu and Tony's long-time friend, James Rhodes – aka War Machine – and you've got an explosive game on your armour-clad hands!
