It's time to hit the courts and shoot some hoops! NBA Live, one of EA Sports' crowning glories, is back for another season.
As ever, the gameplay has been tweaked and overhauled. The control scheme has been streamlined – players will be able to navigate through defenders, push to the basket and finish off with authority, all with more ease than ever. With the improved controls you'll be able to apply more pressure on defence, pressuring opponents to make mistakes, cutting off open passing channels, shutting down fast breaks and controlling the speed of the game.
On the offensive front, it's easier to take control with tweaked passing and shooting systems. Players can use fakes and cross-court passes to set up scoring opportunities, then pull off the exact type of shot they want to nail points.
Players will also find masses of control over the league, being able to experiment with existing team and player ratings to tamper with the entire league's foundations. It shouldn't be forgotten, however, that it's all about you. New camera angles put you firmly in the spotlight and you can drive yourself into becoming the next NBA superstar as 30 levels of achievement-focused incentives help you develop into a pro.
