Summary
Built only for FSX including SP2 and Acceleration (no planned version for FS9), the Hellcat has a highly detailed virtual cockpit complete with 3D gauges and authentic textures, as well as switches to arm and use the guns, bombs and rockets, as well as a functional drop tank.
With animations present and correct, including folding wings and the crucial tail hook for those carrier landings. The authentic sound package also adds to the immersion achieved as you open up the throttle and watch how the self shadowing, bump mapping and spectacular highlights bring any of the 14 carefully selected paint schemes to life.
Two models are included, the F6F-3 and F6F-5. There's also a weapons pack, with guns, rockets and bombs. Players will also find a deployable fuel tank with realistic fuel management, parked animations (Gun bays and chocks), an operational wing folding mechanism, an arrest hook for carrier operations, a highly detailed and animated pilot, realistic lighting and glass on shiny materials, a fully operable and functional lighting panel, exhaust smoke from engine start-up and engine flames, cockpit night lighting, 14 Paint schemes (including USA, French, British and Yugoslavian), realistic Engine Start-up and shut down procedures and detailed scenery objects including Bomb cart, towing tractor and ammo.
