Summary

Everybody loves mechs. It's genetically ingrained into our society. Big, steel combat war machines that deal massive damage to one another against a trembling cityscape. You can't go wrong with that. Which is why the Front Mission franchise gets quite a lot of attention – particularly in Japan, where there's a robot going crazy every five minutes.

But with Front Mission Evolved, the classic turn-based role-playing mechanics of old have been replaced with that of an action-packed, third-person shooter. It's a bold direction to take, but one that will get players much closer to the chaos that ensues. With a single-player campaign that takes you through intense combat situations and immersive worlds, you're going to want to be as close to the action as you can get.

Take control of a huge humanoid mech called the Wanzer, and enter a destructive universe complete with broken alliances, political mistrust and conspiracy as you do your best to protect your land against the rising threat of terrorism. With a race to create the ultimate mechanical fighting machine though, you'll have plenty of opportunities to pick on enemies your own size...

Hollywood-style production values are coupled with an intense storyline and challenging missions – and when you've licked the single-player campaign clean, there's always the engaging online multiplayer to explore as well.
