You just can’t keep a good Sack down. That adorable little knitted character, Sackboy, is back to platform his way through more customisable levels in LittleBigPlanet 2. The original PlayStation 3 exclusive was a perfect highlight of social-based gaming, offering players the chance to create stages, objects, items and even their own Sackboy characters.

Developer Media Molecule was adamant that there needed to be a very good reason for it to create a sequel. Which is why LittleBigPlanet 2 is so special - creation goes beyond making simple levels, and into the realm of basic game creation! You won’t just be playing other people’s platforming levels now - indulge in a shooter, a racing game, cookery simulation (if you fancy playing/making one)… whatever you can think of, you have the power to create it.

Sackbots are introduced to add some clever AI to your designs, and all kinds of brand new objects, machines and tools can be used to make your game exactly how you like it. When you’re ready to publish your creation to the world, take a break and enjoy someone else’s hard work - and of course, the game is backwards-compatible with all of the existing community levels and content from the original LittleBigPlanet too.
