Pilotwings is one of the more serene Nintendo franchises that gamers love to play, just to pass the time away. Whether it’s the SNES original or the N64 launch title, there aren’t many more gameplay experiences more relaxing than swiftly gliding through the air, going only where the wind may take you.
On the Nintendo 3DS, Pilotwings is taking full advantage of the stereoscopic technology to create an experience that will feel like you’re taking a holiday on the train. A new feature for the series is the ability to use your Mii characters in the game - create your cute avatar within the Nintendo 3DS Mii Maker software (included with the hardware) and import it to your game.
This time, the resort featured in Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit Plus - Wuhu Island - is the focus of this new Pilotwings title. Explore the grand heights of the land by plane, hang glider and even by rocket belt. There are a number of challenges with each mode of transport, each one getting more difficult as you progress. They range from accurately navigating a course to safely landing on the ground.
You can collect stars by completing missions, or you can alternatively find many other kinds of bonuses by taking advantage of the Free Flight mode and exploring the island. Take photos and share them with your friends using the Nintendo 3DS photo album.
