Summary

Ratchet & Clank return... but, as ever, so does the incredibly evil (and slightly stupid) Dr. Nefarious. As ever, the bad doctor’s plans have gone slightly wrong leaving Ratchet, Clank and the cowardly Captain Qwark to actually work together with Nefarious in order to escape certain death.

What this means for the player – and their pals – is, for the first time in Ratchet and Clank's illustrious history, four player co-operative gameplay. This is achieved by an ‘anytime drop-in/drop-out system’ whereby players can join in as an available character at any moment in game-play. This also enables smaller groups or even single-player action using the AI in the game to take over when required.

This multiplayer action is not confined to the living room, however, as the collaborative play can be carried out online with PlayStation Network friends joining in from anywhere in the world.

The four protagonists – owing to Dr Nefarious’ incompetent scheming to kill Ratchet & Clank - find themselves deep inside a strange and terrifying machine known as the Creature Collector. In order to escape, along with collaborative play, the players get to use new weaponry including the likes of the Frost Cannon, the Plasma Bomb Launcher and the Warmonger.
