Black Mirror III - the Final Chapter brings an end to the story, which was first brought to PC in 2004. It features nobleman Samuel Gordon who, following a lengthy absence, returned home to Black Mirror Manor to investigate the death apparently by suicide - of his grandfather. Part II of the trilogy saw shy young Englishman, Darren, caught up in New England with horror and a love story.
Part III sees the gamer returning to Darren seven minutes after the end of Part II, who we meet standing on the forest edge looking at what has happened to Black Mirror Manor. Without providing spoilers here, Darren soon finds himself under arrest for murder and in an apparently hopeless pickle.
The game itself comprises a mix of horror and detective work in a classic point n click format that will be familiar to fans of the previous two episodes while also enabling newcomers to get right into the action.
Not only does the game feature intense atmosphere and a plot to twist minds, all this is played out in more than 150 highly detailed locations. The player will also have to deal with 50 individually designed characters in a host of different and challenging conditions and environments. With several different levels of difficulty to enhance playability, and a soundtrack to real get the blood pumping or freezing, Black Mirror III sees the trilogy end in evocative and challenging tones.
