Three epic Warhammer 40K games, one epic box.

First up, specialist in the RTS genre Relic Entertainment teams up once again with publisher THQ to bring us Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II, a whole new chapter in the acclaimed series, set in the 41st Millennium in Sub-Sector Aurelia, a war-torn world in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe. Powered by the developer's Essence Engine 2.0, the game takes players on a mission to save the galaxy as technologically advanced warriors, war machines and hordes of aliens fight constant battles.

With the focus on fast action, real time gameplay, and fierce melee and ranged combat in fully destructible environments, Dawn of War II enables the player to become fully immersed in this mighty science fiction universe like never before. The fate of each race depends upon the development of your squad as you mould them into the toughest, battle-hardened band of warriors in the universe. What the developer regards as the 'intimate brutality of battle' is lit up in all its glory as players are charged with conquering all-comers in the epic battles throughout the campaign. The battlegrounds are about ignite in a blaze of glory (or otherwise) with visceral combat. Does your band of brothers have what it takes to save the galaxy?

In THQ and Relic's sequel to Dawn of War II, Chaos Rising, you must return once more to the murky depths of sub-sector Aurelia where an ice planet, long thought lost, has returned from the Warp. You know that it's not bringing back friendly pixies that want to bake you a batch of brownies...

In Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising, you take up command of the Blood Ravens to defend the sector against the Chaos Space Marines. Not only will you have to lay waste to the Chaos filth, you'll have to fight tooth and nail to keep the chapter together as malignant forces work to collapse it from within. So, what's new this time around? Well, there's new legendary wargear, of course. Then there are new special abilities. There are even, should you wish to forsake your allegiance to the Emperor, new dark and destructive powers to be had.

In multiplayer, you'll be able to swear loyalty to the Chaos Gods and test your savage warband of Chaos Space Marines against the might of the reinforced armies of the Space Marines, Orks, Eldar and Tyranids.

Finally in Retribution, the world is still in turmoil, despite the defeat of the Black Legion and the Great Daemon Ulkair. Constant warring between races breaks out when Blood Raven’s Captain Gabriel is branded a traitor to the nation following the discovery of several acts of heresy. Not only that, but the xenos threat continues around the sector, and Imperial forces try to hold back the invasion of the Tyranid. Orcs are running amok and the Eldar still sit in the shadows and moan about everything.

So it has come to this - the Imperium has stepped in and taken over the planet’s defence forces. While those loyal soldiers try to stave off the chaos in the short-term, behind the scenes there’s a more sinister plot going on - one to burn every world to ashes, purging the lives of each race, under the fires of the Exterminatus.

This new campaign contains new maps, new units and a renewed spotlight on all of the factions in the Warhammer 40,000 universe - alongside the ability to control the Imperial Guard yourself.
