Summary
The latest in the long running Harvest Moon series, Grand Bazaar, takes the usual HM formula and adds in a few more elements to draw players back one more time. As always, the game is based around maximising the elements of the farm that you run in Zephyr Town, growing crops and raising animals as best you can. The ability to marry characters has also returned with ten potential partners on offer for you to woo and shack up with.
A new addition to Grand Bazaar is, well, the Grand Bazaar. Bringing in a whole new element to the game, players get the chance to sell items from their farm at the bazaar that has fallen on hard times. Folks will come from the local city to buy more and more as the game goes on and the bazaar's standing improves. The town's mayor will also announce the target that you must reach and – if you're skilled at trading – you'll make a decent profit! If you manage to rank in the Top 3 the player wins a prize that will assist them back on the farm.
Some things can be combined to create valuable hard-to-get items that can be traded with other players. You can also visit their towns, shop at their bazaars and fish in their streams. There's also a range of new festivals to attend, new crops to grow and multiple pets to train too. With the Harvest Moon franchise going back years, Grand Bazaar is aiming to be the best one yet.
