Summary

Capcom and Namco have been bitter fighting game rivals for years. Both have respectable brawlers in Street Fighter and Tekken, that have carved a specific niche in the genre for arcade and console generations. But not once have the two universes ever clashed directly with one another. Until now.

Street Fighter X Tekken is the first of a pair of games that will see Ryu, Chun-Li, Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams and more go head to head and duke it out to see who the best fighter truly is. This title, developed by Capcom, uses the same technology that powered Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV to bring Tekken characters over into its rival’s universe.

This is more than just a stately visit to Capcom Land however - while the gameplay style is undeniably Street Fighter, the art direction has taken many cues from the Tekken series so that Namco’s iconic characters don’t look out of place. Signature moves have been translated in a way that feels natural for fans of both franchises, and brand new animations will help bring each character to life.

Among the features that will be playable include Versus and Training modes, along with new enhancements to improve on the mechanics laid out in Super Street Fighter IV. A Tag Team combat mode will see two fighters work together in order to deal that finishing blow.
