Summary

With Command and Conquer 3, the series went back to its roots. After several years focussing on the Red Alert and Generals branches of the franchise, EA returned to the series' birthplace with Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars.

Following the events of the second Tiberium war, the strange crystalline substance is consuming Earth like a radioactive Ice Age. It's tricky stuff, Tiberium. Primarily, it's a super-useful resource as it collects and concentrates energy. Secondly, however, it has a tendency to ooze radiation and kill everything around it. And to make matters worse, its self-replicates.

On the one hand you've got the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) which wants to contain the Tiberium and reverse its effects. On the other, you've got the Brotherhood of NOD (don't ask) led by the charismatic Kane which wants to let it overrun the Earth so it can usher in humanity's next stage of evolution. Also thrown into the mix for Tiberium Wars are the alien Scrin, a new faction poised to make things tricky.

Enter you, the player. You'll take control of your forces to slaughter the enemy in an all-out, real time strategy slugfest. The computer AI's been specially developed to allow both rushers and turtlers (fast or methodical players) to make the most out of Tiberium Wars.

You can play up to thirty different missions in single player mode or transform your online play into a spectator sport, allowing in-game commentary.

In the Deluxe Edition, you get the added bonus of the Kane's Wrath expansion pack!
