Summary
The King of Fighters is one of the longest-running traditional fighting games, and this November SNK Playmore kicks things up another notch with the thirteenth instalment in the legendary series. Here, fans will not only be able to once again play as a selection of combatants from the best-loved SNK brawlers, but will be able to experience the final chapter in the Ash Saga storyline too.
As you would expect from the final chapter in a story arc, things truly heat up in King of Fighters XIII, with multiple endings available depending on who you play as and how you build your fighting team. 2D slide screens and animated movies complement the beautifully drawn fighting stages and character animations.
There are over 30 playable characters to send into the ring, including the return of Mai Shiranui and Yuri Sakazaki, and a wealth of unlockable content to make your fighter truly unique - with a multitude of game modes to choose from, you’ll be battling for quite some time. Arcade, Story, Versus, Mission and Online modes are just the tip of the iceberg.
Massive improvements in online netcode abound, including optimised broadband and priority seeding. New NEO MAX super special moves and faster gameplay also makes this the slickest King of Fighters game ever.
