Summary

Destruction is raining down on Azeroth. Demons of the Burning Legion are surging into the realm, bringing the return of the dark titan Sargeras, Ravager of worlds. With doom facing both the Alliance and the Horde, the heroes of Azeroth must look for salvation amidst the ruins of the Broken Isles, the centre of the ancient night elf civilisation and home to myths. Here, the heroes of Azeroth must make a stand against the darkness.

This sixth expansion to World of Warcraft comes with a host of new features sure to appeal to WoW vets.

One is the new Honour System, which is built to circumnavigate the problem of how to reward players with new abilities without unbalancing PvP play. It brings new spells and powers that are specific to PvP combat and can open up a range of new tactical possibilities.

There's also the introduction of Class Orders. While the option to own and build a garrison in Warlords of Draenor was cool, it left players isolated in their own fortresses instead of interacting in cities. Class Orders offer themed bases shared by every member of a class.

Legion also aims to better balance the way WoW dishes up goodies with Artifacts, legendary class-specific weapons that change and grow in power as you battle the legion.

Long-time players will also be rewarded with the long-teased Emerald Dream, a spirit realm inhabited by animals and green dragons. For the first time players can journey to the fabled realm in a seven boss raid!
