Summary

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 rocket-booting into cinemas it is, most assuredly, time for a video game starring the ragtag heroes. Fortunately, the days of generic third-person action game adjuncts to superheroic film exploits are well behind us now, and Telltale Games is at the forefront of making licensed games that aren't poor cousins to their source material.

So it is that we have the studio behind hit adventure games like the Walking Dead series and a recent noir-ish take on Batman venturing into more Marvelous territory. The studio brings its blend of exploration, puzzle-solving, involved conversation trees (that actually impact the future progression of the game's story) and action-based quicktime events to the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Following an epic battle, an artifact called The Eternity Forge comes to light, and Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot all have their own reasons to get hold of it. Players will venture from Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond as they take on individual episodes that focus on each of the Guardians in turn.

This retail bundle comes with Episode One, starring Star-Lord, on the disc, with access to the other four episodes as downloadable content as they're released.
