Summary
The Wizards is a high fantasy spell casting VR game that's going to be a blast for anyone who has ever fancied a wander around Mordor.
The hook here is that you're a magician with a LOT of monsters to fight. Where most games with spells to cast involve complicated menus or skill trees, however, The Wizards relies exclusively on the PlayStation Move controllers (you'll definitely need those, by the way). That means no button presses, just hand gestures. You'll start with one handed basics, such as summoning a shield or tossing a fireball, but work your way up to more advanced two-handed manouvres such as chucking lightning bolts or firing an ice bow. Gandalf didn't press buttons to work his magic, so why should you?
The game has spent a few years being played and tweaked on PC before making it to PlayStation VR and has a few improvements as a result. The big one is that where previous incarnations forced you to teleport to move, now you don't have to. You can navigate the world as you would in Skyrim VR, with tons of different options for you to tinker with to make it work for you.
If you ever fancied your chances as Gandalf - but with a lot more nasties to deal with - then this one's for you.
