After receiving a BA (Hons) in Film Studies in 1996, Simon spent 3 years working in the Film and TV industry to gain audio/visual production experience. He was then offered a design job by Codemasters and has been there since October 1999. Simon has been involved in game design for the Colin McRae Rally series.
Simon Smith's first video game work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1998 title, "Colin McRae Rally" (PlayStation) as Game Design. Of the titles listing Simon within the credits , "Colin McRae Rally" (PlayStation) and "Colin McRae Rally 2.0" (PlayStation) have been best selling titles.
Simon's most recent involvement was as Game Design on the 2000 release "Colin McRae Rally 2.0" (PlayStation).
