Summary

Many of Disney’s animated stories have appeared as games across numerous platforms in recent years. 2000 saw the original release of Nasira’s Revenge for the PlayStation, and come 2001, it’s back, it’s cheap, and Nasira is bent on revenge.

Taking place in nine fully 3D environments, Nasira’s Revenge is one of Disney’s most visually impressive interactive output to date. While not as polished as it’s PC counterpart, it is still comparable with any other game of its type on PlayStation. Taking a Tomb Raider style point of view, you get to control not one, but three characters from the film - Aladdin, Jasmine, and Abu. Each character handles differently, but all are easy to get accustomed to. As with any 3D platformer, there are many collectibles, power ups, and other miscellaneous bonuses scattered around Agrabah and the like. However, obtaining some of these bonus items will prove a lot trickier than some of the others, and you must use each character’s abilities to the fullest to exploit each area of the game. You will have to fly carpets, swing on ropes, and even practice your sword combat skills with guards and man-eating zombies.

Nasira’s Revenge is a lot of fun to play, and if it manages to push past the many other games in the genre, its target audience will be delighted with the playability. Disney has once again shown its ability to improve on past creations with Nasira’s Revenge. We can all look forward to future Disney productions if they're as good as this.
