Summary

Boulder Dash EX includes 'Classic Mode' which contains the original 16 caves and 4 bonus screens while introducing numerous new game features in the 6 new worlds of the EX Game. New worlds contain 10-15 levels each.

Features:
  • Rotating Screens: With the appropriate power up selected from your inventory, players can rotate the screen by 90 degrees at a time. This comes in handy when you need to free trapped diamonds; or, when you want to crush an enemy. Gravity works just as in the original; but now, you reposition objects, thus changing what's going to fall.

  • Multiple Player Support: In 'BattleMode" One can play by themselves against 1, 2 or 3 computer opponents; or, when linked with other GBA systems (only one copy of the game is needed) any combination of up to 4 human and/or AI players can compete.

  • Time Bomb: Use them to blast through walls, booby trap enemies or line them up and set off a chain reaction.

  • Magic Glove: Collect and use the magic glove to place distant objects within your grasp by stretching your arm straight across the entire screen to pull back whatever is in its path.

  • Power Kick: At anytime, if there's a clear path next to a boulder you can kick it across the screen. Use this to fight enemies or to position a rock where you need it to go.

  • Super Pick: Use this to smash rocks. But, each pick you collect will only smash a single boulder.

  • Magic Mushrooms: Some restore your strength, others temporarily slow you down, while yet others will speed you up.
