Summary

Strap yourself in to your hi-tech fighter jet and prepare to head straight into battle in this remake of Ace Combat 2 specifically for Nintendo's handhelds, now with added features for the New 3DS. The classic console dogfighting series has made its way to the Nintendo handheld and despite its small nature it's lost none of the challenge. There are no second chances when you're in the cockpit – it's fight or die.

Strictly a single player game, you take on a series of missions that will see you head deep into enemy territory as you battle swarms of opposition jets. As the Rebels cause terror by bombing everything they can see, it's down to you to stop them and their evil ways by shooting them out of the sky! Pitched half way between a full on flight sim and an arcade experience, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy is a game that even experienced virtual pilots will find testing.

With a whole pile of secrets to discover and unlock, Ace Combat offers plenty of opportunity to be the best. Levels are bite-sized so even a short chance to play will mean that you get to take on something new, and by combining detailed 3D visuals with accessible gameplay, the sky is the limit in this dogfight to the finish!

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy + also has amiibo support, meaning that players can use their amiibo figures to unlock in-game skins for their planes. Because of a collaboration with Nintendo, players can deck their aircraft out in designs inspired by the likes of Donkey Kong, Zelda, Captain Falcon, Samus and even PAC-MAN. As an added bonus, players using the New 3DS will also be able to make use of the handheld's C stick and ZR/ZL buttons.
