Curly Monsters was an independent games production studio, dedicated to producing high quality entertainment software.
Its original team of six highly motivated and experienced game development professionals with over 40 years of combined industry experience.
Prior to the founding of Curly Monsters, all six team members were employed by Psygnosis, and were (according to gamasutra.com) "... responsible for
arguably the only truly triple-A products Psygnosis have released in the 32-bit era."
Disillusioned with the direction that large corporate developers were taking, the founding members pursued a new development ideal - where the individuals who do the work are properly rewarded for their efforts.
Sadly, due to the poor reception of its Xbox title, Quantum Redshift, funding for the work-in-progress sequel was not forthcoming, and the outfit was forced to close its doors.
Curly Monsters's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2000 title, "N-Gen Racing" (PlayStation).
The company has been involved titles released on the Xbox and PlayStation. Of these, "Quantum Redshift" (Xbox) has been a best selling title.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2002 release "Quantum Redshift" (Xbox).
